1955 GMC 9300 All Original
Price: $1550 Canadian Dollars
Mileage: Unknown
Drive Train: All Original Straight 6, transmission, differential and chassis
History:
This truck was purchased from a private individual. The story was that the car had been on the property as long as he had owned the land. It was rural property, and he had never had occasion to move it. A fellow working at an auto wreckers caught wind of it and decided to take it off the guys property for free with the intention of restoring it.
The auto wrecker eventually tired of the potential work and decided, instead, to sell it. We acquired it as seen in the photos. The original lead-based paint was still on it, and it remains exactly as seen in the photos below.
The engine is a straight six, and I have no idea what the transmission is, but it is believed to be the original. It is unknown if this is a "numbers matching" truck. We haven't taken the time find out. Maybe it is? We aren't sure. The original frame and chassis is all there as is the suspension, steering, and some glass.
Although this vehicle requires a full restoration, it may provide the right person with oddball parts and pieces that can be used for an ongoing restoration. Alternatively, if someone has a fountain of money, the may wish to dry it out a bit by purchasing this vehicle and restoring it.
Note: This vehicle requires a full restoration. Make no mistake: it does not run!!! It requires a complete overhaul from bumper to bumper. However, the vehicle is complete, and to the right project-oriented fellow, it might be just the project.
Price is negotiable, but call for details.
